Cacao & Connection Nov 8

Maybe you know what it’s like to find comfort with your partner and smile at each other like no one’s watching. If so, this workshop may be for you. Mia Becker and Rick Marren are hosting Cacao & Connection, a mindful date night for couples.

We’re taking participants through a cozy, heart-centered experience with ceremonial-grade cacao, a heart-opening meditation, conscious connection practices, and attuned touch.

You will cultivate connection and touch skills that will grow well beyond the room and we’re incredibly energized to show you more!

What to expect:

• Consent discussion
• Delicious ceremonial-grade cacao
• Heart-opening exercise
• Connection practices involving consensual touch between partners
• Demos and Q&As
• Integration meditation
• Cozy seating, mood lighting, and Japanese-inspired teahouse decor

These exercises build on each other to create inner knowing, deep understanding, and lasting connection for years of grounded bliss.

We’ll provide the ceremonial cacao, blankets, and other cozy items to help you relax into the experience. All we ask is that you bring your curiosity, openness, and willingness to meet your partner with fresh eyes and open heart.

All touch is consensual, partner-based, and fully clothed.

The Nook is a shoe-free space, and socks are required. 

Why cacao?

Cacao is the aphrodisiac your parents didn’t know about (or maybe they did). It contains bioactive compounds that elevate mood, increase circulation, and enhance connection. This can lead to feelings of expansiveness, groundedness, and profound connection to self and others. We’ll be serving ceremonial grade cacao to create the conditions for deep connection.

About Rick:

Most of us have had an experience of laying in bed next to someone we love and feeling a million miles away. Rick Marren helps people build their unique bridge to real connection.

Known for aligning the nervous system with what his clients genuinely want, but find just out of reach, Rick combines modern neuroscience, behavioral analysis, and hypnosis to take people from longing and loneliness into feeling the depths of real connection.

With deep gratitude for his practice, Rick has woven his own methods in with tools and techniques from respected mentors to accomplish his life’s mission: to help people deeply connect. 

His inspiration comes from nature, contact improvisational dance, and the beauty of the subconscious mind, where he discovered the wonder of connection without words. Leaning into each moment as a vision of something new, echoing in the distance, every session brings a sense of awareness and transformation that sticks in a way the conscious mind would create, if it only knew how.

About Mia:

Have you ever felt the tension between seeing a vision for your life and feeling stuck where you are?

Most people never do anything about it. Not because they don’t want to, but because it can be hard to pinpoint where to start. 

Mia Becker helps people pick up their body-led compass and listen to the direction it’s pointing in so that they can confidently move towards their true north. 

Over and over again, she sees a beautiful state of embodied aliveness and confidence return in her clients as they become present with their bodies, trust their inner knowing, and meet their authentic selves with honesty and compassion.

Her work is informed by a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, years of facilitating somatic group experiences, and a line of clients out in the world who have received personal support in somatic processing, trauma-informed embodiment, attuned touch, and nervous system regulation. 

Mia brings a grounded and body-led approach to healing and change work. Working with Mia, you can expect to be met where you are, feel your potential activate, and be invited back into the wisdom, pleasure, clarity, and aliveness already living in your body.

Because of the small group nature of this experience, tickets are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend and we will verify the original purchaser at check-in.
